I'm So Excited
When a flight bound for Mexico City runs into trouble, the frightened passengers aboard start sharing their deepest secrets to distract themselves from impending doom--with hilarious results. I was expecting more from Penelope Cruz and Antonio Bandaras. There were many funny scenes but also some tasteless sex ones too. I give it a 5 and say save it for a DVD. Stars Penelope Cruz, Antonio Bandaras, Paz Vega, and Javier Camara.

The Way, Way Back
A stifled teen finds his voice with encouragement from the manager of a local water park, where he takes a summer job to escape his unbearable home life with his mom and her overbearing boyfriend.
A coming of age tale that is very entertaining with great characters. It is humorous and will keep your attention. See it now since it one of the best this summer. I give it an 8. Stars Liam James, Steve Carell, AnnaSophia Robb, Amanda Peet and Toni Collette.
Unfinished Song
With his wife Marion terminally ill, 72-year-old Arthur see a future that's nothing but grim. But when he takes Marion's place in their church's very unconventional choir, he begins to find joy in life again. Great to see older actors and actresses performing in a vivid life scenario. It hits close to home. It is touching and humorous. I give it a 7. Stars Terence Stamp; Gemma Arteton; Vanessa Redgrave and Christopher Eccleston.

The Heat
In this action comedy, Sandra Bullock heads the cast as a by-the-book FBI agent who forms an unlikely alliance with unconventional street cop (Melissa McCarthy) to take down a drug gangster. How can you go wrong with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy? It is hilarious to the point of being the new "vaudeville". It was refreshing to go to a movie and just laugh. I give it a 7. Stars Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy.
Much Ado About Nothing
To truly enjoy this movie, read the Shakespearean play before you go to the movie. In Joss Whedon's modern take on the Shakespearean comedy, Claudio's love for the beautiful Hero makes him a target of his friend Benedick's mockery. But as Benedick trades barbs with Hero's cousin Beatrice, he may just be falling in love. The film is in black and white but that should not deter you. It was filmed in the director's home in two weeks, which is amazing since it is so well done. The characters speak the Elizabethan dialect so it takes at least a half hour to adjust to it. The character's costumes look right out of the 50's or 60's. Men are in suits and ties. Women are in very feminine and fussy print dresses. Overall it is very clever and did I say well done and funny. I give it an 8. Stars Amy Acker, Nathen Fillion and Fran Kranz.
